Week 6 Spring

For this week, pick the chapters from this book (The Essential Drucker) that you would like to read with the class.  Pick as many or as few as you would like.  Perhaps picking 5 chapters is a reasonable number.

What chapters look like the will be useful in your life?  What chapters seem to resonate with your life today?  You might want to ask your parents or other people to look through the Table of Contents and help you pick the most valuable chapters.

As a class, we'll pick the chapters that we'll read.  I'll schedule the reading so that its reasonable.  We'll take as long as we need.  I imagine we might end up reading 10 chapters altogether.

When you have picked them, post your choices as a comment here.  Try to explain your choices: why those chapters?

Go to http://news.google.com and click on "Business" on the left side of the screen.  Once more, click on something that seems related to Economic Recovery: something that has to do with employment, wages, consumer confidence, etc.

Then write about it.  Don't use a story that has been used by someone else.

  • 100 words minimum, 200 words maximum.
  • Be clear, concise, concrete, and complete.
  • Put the URL (web link) of the news story on the post.
Put your write-up as a "comment" to this post (so that it's well organized and everyone can see it) before Monday, February 18, 11:59pm.  Then you're done!
